1. Not an Intuitive Interface

In my case, C: was not automatically assigned to the volume and hence Windows 7 boot failed with the message 'autochk not found skipping autocheck'. Yesterday I decided that my c: was too small and took some, now it would seem, stupid measures with Acronis disc director. Since my HDD has a D:, System reserved and C: I had to:

CAUSE:
1) shrink D -> reboot
2) Increase system reserved -> reboot?
3) Decrease system reserved -> reboot
4) Increase C: -> reboot -> BSOD!

Windows 7 latest version torrent. I noticed these changes:
1) my D: had become my c:
2) my c: had become G:
3) system reserved had become e:, primary partition

Managed to get it to this with Ultimate boot disk:
1) C=C, primary partition
2) D=D
3) System reserved=e:

Still after something like: autochk program not found - skipping AUTOCHK
then BSOD: c000021a fatal system error 0xc000003a

Tried last good known configuration
Tried safe mode, stops after classpnp.sys is loaded then BSOD
Then tried windows 7 CD repair option but it didn't work.
Running chkdsk now but it will take forever.

Please excuse my lack of knowledge on this point but personally I think the problem is that the Master boot record has the wrong partition size stored for c: or something similar, or it may have become corrupt.

I don't get it, i have increased c: in the past sucessfully with the same application. I have read many other topics with same BSOD but most seem to be caused by something else. Bourne identity free. And since i know basically nothing about the master boot record, and may aswell make the problem worse on my own, i'm in need of some guidance. Can you switch macos photos app between multiple libraries.

Still i think i got a month old backup, but would rather not lose the data I've stored since then if at all possible.

Windows 10 Autochk Not Found Alive

Hello, so what's Happening is when I boot my PC it comes up with the 'autochk program not found - skipped AUTOCHECK' error and then it blue screens saying the PC ran into a problem, and it will loop this over and over, while being unable to access windows.
This was caused due to me trying to adjust permissions in order to delete some files on my C: drive (not SYSTEM files, just program files). So basically I deleted the current permissions such as SYSTEM and then added my admin account as the main one (like the guides on YouTube etc say to do). I tried to change it back to the original persmissions but it kept saying ACCESS DENIED, and I have restricted permissions (unable to access c: drive).
So I restarted my PC and now it is doing the autochk error. It was a mistake on my part. How can I deal with this? I have no restore points in the troubleshoot option, repair does nothing etc. thank you in advance.

Gameplay[edit]

The game uses an enhanced version of the Linear Motion Battle System that debuted in the first game of the series, Tales of Phantasia. Battles take place on a 2-D plane where characters and enemies act in real time. Melee and ranged attacks are executed in real time, with spell casting requiring a chanting time that increases directly with the complexity of the spell being cast. When the chanting of a spell is complete, game-time temporarily stops as the spell animation is carried out and damage is assigned, so spells essentially act as interrupts. However, regardless of their will and persistence, the Aetherians continued to have the power to dominate every engagement through the use of their superweapon.

In their disgust of their civilization's elitist behavior, a group of Aetherian scientists went to the surface. There, with aid from the people, they were able to create special swords, called Swordians, that were sentient. Unlike other weapons, these swords chose their masters and were able to call upon the elements of nature to do their will. Using these weapons, the people of the surface finally had an edge against the Aetherians.

Thanks in part to the Swordians and their masters, scores of Aeropolis were sunk to the depths of the ocean. In the end, the Erthers claimed victory over the Aetherians. Thousands of years later, this story has been mostly forgotten. In the meantime, the purposeless Swordians fell into a deep stasis sleep, only to awaken when grave threats rose once again.

The story of the game begins when country-boy-turned-adventurer Stahn Aileron, who seeks fame and adventure, sneaks aboard the flying ship Draconis as a stowaway. well, you may be using the desktop edition. in ultimate edition you will be having both drivers installed on it. i used ubuntu 10.04 desktop and ultimate edition.but only wireless driver is missing in desktop. wired connection is working fine. in ultimate edition both are working fine.you have two solutions i think

1. simply change the version of ubuntu or install ultimate edition.

2.else install the driver for wired connection after downloading it from windows.and then wireless driver can be installed by giving the following command in a terminalsudo apt-get install driver(here driver should be replaced with the name of the driver for ubuntu 10.10)it will ask for administrator password. give it. after that it will connect to internet automatically(with the wired connection) and will install the drivers for you.

Windows 10 Creators Update is breaking Borlands Database Desktop. The program looks like it's starting and them immediately crashes. I've tried this now on 3 machines so far. Has anyone else seen this? And doesn't anyone know how to troubleshoot this type of issue? Ive tried.. A clean boot using MSConfig. Running in compatibility mode (All Windows versions tested). Ran Compatibility mode troubleshooter. Running it as an administrator.Nothing worked.

I'd like to confirm this issue, dbd32.exe does not start after Windows 10 upgrade to Creators Update. Fortunately rolling Window 10 back to Anniversary Update and deferring upgrades solved this problem for me. As Marco Cantù already stated, the BDE is depecrated. You can try if using an alternative BDE, e.g. BDE eXpress will work, otherwise you will have to rewrite that part of your application, or downgrade that machine to e.g. Windows 7 / 8.

Suppose you have a Delphi application that access data using the Borland Database Engine (BDE) and you wish to deploy it on a user's client computer. If you compile the project without runtime packages and no BDE support is required, then merely copying the EXE file on the target computer is usually enough.

Now installing BDE on a client computer is performed as follows :

1. Locate the file bdeinst.cab located in C:Program FilesCommon FilesBorland SharedBDE.
2. Open it using winZip or something equivalant.
3. The .cab file contains only one file BDEINST.DLL. Extract this to the users client computer.
4. Use the command regsvr32.exe bdeinst.dll from the command prompt to perform the installation.
5. Run your application

4. Next locate HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareBorland and delete the subkeys BLW32, Borland Shared and Database engine.

    I have to distribute a legacy application for Windows that unfortunately does not support Font Linking, but is supposed to support many language cultures, including all east Asian languages. The perfect font for that purpose would be to use Unicode MS, which is part of Microsoft Office, which is not part of my target systems.     The Code2000 font has almost full coverage of the Basic Multilingual Plane (much larger than that of Arial Unicode MS, though perhaps without some of its characters in its modern versions). It is available e.g. from http://www.alanwood.net/downloads/. However, there are several issues with it:

    

    • Its status is unclear. It used to be shareware, with a registration fee of $5 or so, but the author’s web site is down, and it is not clear whether it was he who made the font available at SourceForge as freeware.
    • It’s a serif font, which might not suit your overall visual design.
    • It’s not typographically ambitious (to put it diplomatically).
    • It has been designed to work with font smoothing and may look like crap without it (not much of a problem these days I guess).

    Yet, it seems to best match the description. There are many other fonts that might be considered, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unicode_font#List_of_Unicode_fonts, but they have more serious drawbacks for most uses (e.g., monospace design or bitmap format or limited character repertoire).

    The Deja Vu collection of fonts cover numerous code points, and are licensed under a very permissive license. (IANAL) Not sure what its coverage of East Asian languages are, but there are some other fonts out there for that. In particular, Unifont's Font Guide may be helpful.

    I'd also do a Google search, as there are many many more choices out there.

    Be sure to check the licenses of anything you decide to use.

    Last, why not just use the fonts on the system itself? If it's a Windows application, then the user should have Arial Unicode installed. (Or is this what you mean by, 'does not support Font Linking'?)

    Found this question when I was looking for info about the distributability of the Android CJK fonts.

    Assuming the answer there is correct about the licensing terms, then I think the Droid fonts might be a good answer for this question.

    Keep in mind though - there can't ever be a single font that covers all east Asian languages accurately since a lot of code points are shared between the languages, yet speakers of each language write some of them a little differently.

    Droid Sans Fallback has an especially broad spread of east Asian codepoints and according this page, appears to use Chinese for the unified code points that clash.

    In addition, Google is also working on an entire font family called Noto intended to 'support all the world’s languages'. Of course, that's a whole family of fonts, not just a single font.

To reduce the operating system footprint, improve performance, and optimize disk space usage, we moved many of the fonts that were previously shipped with prior versions of Windows to the optional features of Windows 10. If you install a fresh instance of Windows 10, or upgrade an older version of Windows to Windows 10, these optional features are not enabled by default. As a result, these fonts appear to be missing from the system.

    If you have documents created using the missing fonts, these documents might display differently on Windows 10.

    For example, if you have an English (or French, German, or Spanish) version of Windows 10 installed, you might notice that fonts such as the following are appear to be missing:

       It wouldn’t be a worthwhile game about the Roman Coliseum without some liberal splatterings of the red stuff, and Shadow of Rome brings the claret in spades. Playing mostly as former Centurion warrior Agrippa, you murder your way through the gladitorial arenas of the Roman empire, cutting a bloody swathe through history. Some might ask why Ryse: Son of Rome didn’t get the nod, as it’s much more realistic about its gore, but we just wanted to highlight Shadow of Rome in the vain hopes that Capcom will remaster it.

       8. Soldier of Fortune

       A lot of people consider Call of Duty to be the go-to for gory military shooters, but Soldier of Fortune offered ridiculous levels of gratuitous excess way before the Call of Duty series even thought about putting the words “Modern” and “Warfare” together. With the original game using the then-revolutionary GHOUL Engine, Soldier of Fortune delivered mutilation with surgical precision.

       9. Fallout 4

       Publisher: Bethesda

       Speaking of surgical precision, it arguably doesn’t get more precise than using the in-game V.A.T.S. system to target a would-be bandits specific limbs before blowing them to smithereens. Yes, the Fallout series is quite familiar with the old ultra violence, and the Wild Wasteland perk present in those games just adds to that effect. It doesn’t take long before the whole world is covered in red mist and viscera.

       10. Hotline Miami

       Blood and guts don’t need to be hyper realistic to be shocking or considered gory, which is why Hotline Miami does it’s violence so well. The over-the-top aesthetic that the top down shooter has managed to cultivate is only amplified by the liberal splashes of blood that soak each level upon completion. Plus, you’ll never forget the brutality of those first execution kills. Somehow, the pixellation makes it more disturbing.

       11. The Gears of War Series

       There’s an argument to be made that in the first two instalments of Gears of War, the ludicrous gibs and insane gore was necessary. Quite frankly, the lashing of red strewn around the landscape brought colour to an otherwise grey/brown cover shooter. Now, the series is filled more vibrant colours than just red, but the gore never left. We’re thankful for that.

       Synopsis[edit]

       A captured foal is brought to Devon in the United Kingdom to be auctioned. Hoping to give it to his son Ned, Arthur Narracott bids on the foal; instead, his brother Ted competes with him and bids 30 guineas—an exorbitant amount for the poor farmer, winning the horse. The local drunkard, Ted is considered to be a coward, for refusing to have fought together with his brother in the earlier Boer War in South Africa. At the auction, Ted used money reserved to pay his farm mortgage. Ted's wife Rose fears they will lose their farm. Their son Albert promises to raise the foal and train him for sale. The boy names the foal Joey, and forms a strong bond with him during training..

       Jealous of his cousin Albert, Ned convinces his father to get Ted drunk and make a bet: if Joey (bred and trained as a hunter, not a plough horse) can be taught to plough within a week, Arthur will pay Ted 39 guineas, the auction price. If Joey won't plough, Ned gets the horse. Albert successfully teaches Joey to pull the plough and gets to keep him.

       News of the outbreak of World War I reaches Devon. When Ted sells Joey to the cavalry, Albert is crushed. Captain James Nicholls, who often sketched Albert riding the hunter, promises that he will personally look after the fine horse. At the same time, Arthur enlists Ned to fight despite his protests. Arthur gives Ned his grandfather's knife for protection. Joey and Topthorn (another army horse) are shipped to France. The charges of the British cavalry are overwhelmed by the fire from German machine guns, representing their new technology. During the first charge, Nicholls is shot and killed. Ned is assigned to ride Joey into battle and is captured by German troops.

       Nicholls's sketchbook is sent to Albert, who learns Joey is serving 'unprotected' in France. He lies about his age, enlists in the army and goes to France. There he befriends Private David Taylor, a fellow soldier.

       The Germans have taken Ned to a French farm being used as a makeshift hospital. He is killed brandishing his knife. Emilie, the girl of the farm family, is nearly killed in the altercation. German officer Friedrich Muller is reminded of his own daughter left in Germany. He and Emilie share a love of horses and, with Emilie's mother, they take care of the horses Joey and Topthorn, which are being kept to pull an ambulance for wounded soldiers.

       When a shell kills most of his comrades, Friedrich switches his coat and identity with an enlisted medic, hoping to survive to return home. His subterfuge is discovered but Friedrich enables Emilie and her mother to escape. When the Germans force the two fine horses to work as draft horses, Joey inspires Topthorn to pull in order to survive. Once enemies, the two horses become friends, but Topthorn dies from exhaustion.

       As Friedrich mourns the horse, a tank attack hits his group, killing him and driving Joey to run. He is caught in barbed wire in No Man's Land between the enemy lines. The Germans and British each send out a man under a white flag to aid the horse. Winning a coin toss, the British take the injured Joey back to camp.

       Albert and David's infantry division encounter Emilie, who is alone and traumatized; they take her to British headquarters. On the way, Albert sees a dead horse with Ned's knife in him. Believing that the horse is Joey, Albert is broken. Recognizing Joey's name, Emilie tries to talk to Albert, but David is shot and killed, and Albert temporarily-blinded by tear gas. Emilie does not have the chance to tell him about his horse.

       Behind the lines, in a British encampment, Albert tells his story to a nurse just as the damaged Joey is brought to the camp by soldiers. The soldiers prepare to kill the injured horse, but Albert whistles and Joey responds to him. Learning the full story, the soldiers agree to let Albert care for Joey during their joint convalescence. The horse and farmboy return home safe to Devon at the end of the war.

       The show premiered on 17 October 2007 in the Olivier Theatre at the National Theatre on the South Bank, London, on a run that ended on 14 February 2008.^[3] It returned for a second run on 10 September 2008, and closed on 18 March 2009.^[4]

       West End (2009–2016)[edit]

       War Horse transferred to the West End's New London Theatre, beginning preview performances on 28 March 2009, prior to an official opening of 3 April.^[5][6] The original cast featured Kit Harington as Albert, who reprised his South Bank performance.^[7][8][9] The production includes an original score composed by Adrian Sutton.

       You gain EXP upon defeating the enemy and gain stats on level up.
       There are a few cameos from other video games in the form of special attacks like Ys, God Eater, Ridge Racer, Freedom Wars, Legend of Heroes, Tekken, and many other ones.

       The main objective of Taiko no Tatsujin games is to hit a simulated Taiko drum following a chosen piece of music, corresponding to notes^[b] scrolling from the right.

       A song is cleared when the spirit gauge^[c] is filled past the target^[d] by playing accurately enough.

       Controls[edit]

       Arcade releases are equipped with simulated Taiko, which can register hits when played with drum sticks (bachi).

       Console versions mainly uses buttons to play, while certain devices can support additional methods of input:

       • A virtual Taiko drum is provided on devices with touchscreens (DS, 3DS, Wii U, iPod touch, smartphone, Nintendo Switch), played with either styluses or fingers.
       • Dedicated peripherals simulating real drums can be purchased additionally for PS2, Wii, Wii U, PS4 or Nintendo Switch releases. Such a peripheral is included with at least the North American PlayStation 2 version.

       Notes[edit]

       The variety of notes in the game consists mainly of red and blue markers. The red don (ドン) note requires a hit on the face of the drum, and the blue ka (カッ) note requires a hit on the rim.^[1]

       Other notes require quick consecutive hits on the drum. Types of such notes includes the yellow bar, the balloon note and the Kusudama ball (or the yam on some releases).^[1]

       Unlike other rhythm games such as Guitar Hero, the drum is an addition to the songs and does not limit an instrument being played whenever the notes are not hit, nor does it simulate an off-key sound when missed as the game allows you to freely hit the drum wherever you want, so long as it isn't close to a note that could result in a penalty.
